NOVEMBER 22: In a programme organised at Shanmukhananda Hall on November 21, Swami Ganapathi Sachchidananda, Peethadipathi of the Avadhootha Datta Peetam, featured in a spiritual music concert for healing and meditation. The programme is one in a series organised on the occasion of his visit.

The programme opened with a floral tribute to the Swami by a priest of the Fanaswadi temple, and felicitation by dignitaries including Chief Guest R Chidambaram of the Atomic Energy Commission. The Swami, in his performance on the synthesiser, was accompanied by traditional Indian instruments. The swami performed many Carnatic ragaas and at the middle of the concert asked for the lights to be switched on so that he could see the face of every devotee. He then asked the audience to raise their hand, in the shankh symbol.
