GATE 2026 Admit Card Released: Things to check on the GATE hall ticket

GATE Exam Admit Card 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati on January 13 released the admit card. The gate2026.iitg.ac.in is hosting the GATE admit card 2026 link. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 will be conducted between February 7 and 15, 2026.

The GATE 2026 admit card will contain important information on the exam including the candidate’s name, registration number, paper code, examination centre address, date and time of the test, photograph, signature and other exam-day instructions to be followed by the candidates on the exam day.

After the IIT Guwahati releases the GATE admit card 2026 and candidates access it, the candidates must ensure that certain information in the hall ticket is printed correctly. These are

1. Name of candidates: The names of the candidates and their parents’ names should be spelt correctly
2. Paper combinations: The candidates must check if the GATE paper combinations they had applied for are the same
3. Photograph of the candidates: The photograph of the candidate should be the same and visible. A candidate will not be allowed to appear if the photograph in the admit card is different.
4. Signature of the candidates: The signature of the candidate must be the same.
5. Students should check the exam centre and other details on the GATE hall ticket.

In case the candidate finds some discrepancy in the GATE admit card 2026, they should immediately contact the GATE administering body – IIT Guwahati, and get it sorted before the start of the exam in February.

GATE 2026 will be held for a total of 30 test papers. Candidates can appear for one or two test papers only. GATE will be held in two sessions – forenoon and afternoon over the weekends between February 7 and 15. The forenoon session exams will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the afternoon session exams will be conducted between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
