Spirited Qatar nters final

DOHA, APRIL 9: Qatar staged a spirited rally to slam two goals in the space of two minutes to hold Jordan to a 2-2 draw and move into the finals of the Asian Cup to be held in Lebanon later this year.

Abdullah Mohammed Abu put Jordan in the lead in the 23rd minute and before the breather substitute Sufian Abdullah Davoud made it 2-0. Qatar pulled one back in the 66th minute through Fahad Al Kuwari and even before the din and bustle in the stands subsided Mohammed Salem Al Enazi got Qatar the vital equaliser.

In an earlier match Kazakhstan trounced Pakistan 4-0.
