SP petition dismissed

MUMBAI, August 11: A petition seeking action against Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray for threatening to ban Union Railway Minister Ram Vilas Paswan8217;s entry into the state was dismissed by the Bombay High Court. The petition was filed by the Samajwadi Party.

The petitioners claimed Thackeray8217;s statement violated fundamental rights. The judges said, 8220;We do not find much substance in the petition and therefore the matter is disposed off. If the railway minister8217;s fundamental rights have been violated, he should file a petition.8221;
