South Zone were 127 for the loss of three wickets on the second day of their four-day Duleep Trophy match against Central Zone.

South captain Hemang Badani and Dinesh Kaarthick were unbeaten on 24 and 50 respectively when the stumps were drawn for the day. Resuming at overnight score of 299 for three, Central Zone added 179 runs before being all out for 478 in their first essay.
