South Africa declared their first innings on 556-4 to lead West Indies by 394 runs at stumps Friday on the second day of the decisive third Test.

The West Indies, who scored just 139 in their first innings, reached 23 without loss in 11 overs before the close of play at Kingsmead Stadium. Daren Ganga was on 6 and Brenton Parchment 17.

South Africa8217;s innings was built around three centuries, two of them undefeated 8212; Ashwell Prince made 123 and AB de Villiers 103 8212; before captain Graeme Smith called the innings to a close.

Prince8217;s seventh Test century included 15 fours.
