A ball of a time
Elegance and beauty stole the show, even as chivalry led them to the ballroom floor at the annual NDA Ball. A beauty pageant held on Sunday, as part of the annual ball at the National Defence Academy NDA, Khadakwasla, saw Amruta Jadhav crowned NDA Queen, while Cadet Arjun Singh walked away with the title of Mr NDA. Organised on the occasion of passing out parade of the 115th batch of cadets, the much-awaited event saw young cadets hone their social skills and acquire lasting colours of chivalry. As per tradition, NDA Commandant Air Marshal T S Randhawa set the ball rolling. The dance floor was soon taken over by enthusiastic cadets and their partners.

Of drinks and drapes
The launch party of Zampa Wines at Stone Water Grill on Sunday was marked by glamour and glitterati. The evening took a splurge in the exotic flavours of the various varieties of wine on offer. And fashion sizzled on the ramp in the form of elegant saris and trendy western outfits, having taken a cue from the pop art of the 50s. The Satya Paul Pop Art Collection won accolades from the high profile audience. Magic caught on as the evening matured and several top models, including Chak De girl Sagarika Ghatge, sashayed down the ramp. The event also witnessed Paul Bailey, winemaker sharing his views on the exotic drinks. Spotted at the event were Lila and Feroz Poonawala, Amrita Thapar, Jaswinder and Maveen Narang, Amol Palekar and Sandhya Gokhale, amongst others.
