Sinha hints at retaining Paes

President of the All India Tennis Association Yashwant Sinha today indicated that Leander Paes would stay as India8217;s Davis Cup captain and expressed 8220;disappointment8221; over politics being played by the revolting players.

8220;My first reaction to this controversy was of surprise and disappointment. I am a politician and AITA president for the last eight years and most people are not even aware of that.

8220;I did not want to introduce politics in the federation and that is why I was disappointed that politics is being played,8221; he said.

Sinha provided a hint that Paes would not be axed from his position. 8220;We do not want any player to face humiliation including Leander. We want to protect the dignity of all our players,8221; he said.
