President of the All India Tennis Association Yashwant Sinha today indicated that Leander Paes would stay as India’s Davis Cup captain and expressed “disappointment” over politics being played by the revolting players.“My first reaction to this (controversy) was of surprise and disappointment. I am a politician and AITA president for the last eight years and most people are not even aware of that.“I did not want to introduce politics in the federation and that is why I was disappointed (that politics is being played),” he said.Sinha provided a hint that Paes would not be axed from his position. “We do not want any player to face humiliation including Leander. We want to protect the dignity of all our players,” he said.
