145;Singur farmers have been compensated146;

The State Commerce and Industries Minister Nirupam Sen said in an article published in the CPM8217;s Bengali daily on Monday that most of the landowners in Singur have already received compensation for their land. 8220;The government had acquired 997.11 acres of land. Nearly 11,000 landowners have received the compensation for 690.79 acres,8221; he said. Only 1,500 people, who owned around 300 acres, have not accepted the amount because of anomalies in their documents, Sen added.
