Back in action
After staying home for several months, his career looking more dull than a dry leaf, Akshaye Khanna is back on a spin. Right now, he8217;s working hard on debutant film-maker Farhan Akhtar8217;s Dil Chahta Hai inspired by the Hollywood ensemble piece, Reality Bites in which he plays a young painter obsessed with an older woman played by luscious Dimple Kapadia.

Apparently, director Sanjay Gupta has roped him in for his Reservoir Dogs remake, Kaante with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty. There8217;s also some talk of daddy Vinod Khanna producing a film for sonny. Enough to keep him busy and back in the news!

Once bitten, twice shy!
Seems like Shilpa Shetty has learnt her lesson. It was a tough lesson, but she8217;s learnt it anyway! The actress, in a recent interview, openly declared that she has been used and abused by former boyfriend Akshay Kumar, and vowed that she wouldn8217;t get back with him ever personally or professionally. She says he had been cheating on her all along, and she can8217;t forgive him for it. As of now, hot off the praise she garnered for her impressive performance in Dhadkan, Shilpa is giving her career her best shot. Among the biggies she8217;s snagged, is a film opposite Salman Khan. Good luck to her. May she never repeat such mistakes!

Second time lucky?
Even such high-profile films as Badshah, Mela and Joru Ka Ghulam couldn8217;t do very much for her career. But Twinkle Khanna is far from feeling low. These days, when she isn8217;t sweating it out at those distant studios, she8217;s helping mummy Dimple make those fancy candles. She8217;s gung-ho about sister Rinke8217;s career, and at the same time she8217;s readying herself for a more eventful second inning. With that excess baggage called Akshay Kumar done with, she fells unfettered and free. Life8217;s a beach

He8217;s on a roll. Life8217;s looking great. Both Baadal and Bichoo didn8217;t quite create box-office magic, but Bobby Deol isn8217;t letting it get to him. He8217;s got a bunch of promising films which are likely to help him stay afloat. Before the end of the year he8217;s expecting Abbas-Mustan8217;s Ajnabi a remake of Consenting Adults to hit the marquee, and then early next year, Indra Kumar8217;s Aashiq with Karisma Kapoor will also make it to the cinemas. There8217;s lots on the cards too. No reason for disappointment.

Doing her thing8230;
Refusing to be bothered by those rumours linking her to Akshay Kumar gosh, that man8217;s name has come up very often today!, Mahima Chaudhary is keeping mum. Claiming she has nothing in the world to do with the Casanova Kumar, the Pardes actress avoid him like the plague on the sets of Khiladi 420 in which she has been paired opposite him. Her bit parts in both Dhadkan and Deewane earned her praise. Now, she8217;s steaming up the small screens even as promos of Kurukshetra in which she dances around the Alps with co-star Sanjay Dutt arouse industry interest.

Bouquets all the way8230;
Having collected those bouquets of praise for her performance in Fiza, Karisma Kapoor is now getting prepared for the release of Shyam Benegal8217;s Zubeida which is scheduled for December. The actress is thrilled to bits that she seems to have silenced her detractors with a fine performance in Fiza, and is keeping her fingers crossed hoping she can repeat the magic with Benegal8217;s film. While in Fiza she had to match up to the talent of Jaya Bachchan, Benegal8217;s Zubeida teams her up with yet another livewire actress Rekha. How Lolo manages to hold her own in the midst of such formidable talent as Madame Re and Manoj Bajpai remains to be seen.
