Cricketer Ajay Jadeja is a definite `mangta hai’ with tinseltown women. I have seen models hound him at parties. And actresses just cannot stop themselves from giving him come-hither vibes when their boyfriends aren’t around. Gossip magazines have, in the recent past, carried stories linking him with actress Suman Ranganathan.

And the model-turned-aspiring-actress Maheep Sandhu also gives him the glad eye but only when her boyfriend is not around. Last Friday, Sanjay Kapoor was around so, Maheep kept away.So did Suman. But starlet Preity Zinta made up for all of them. This Liril model, who has bagged some big films, was all out to impress Jadeja. Did she succeed? Well, what can I say? He is used to it so, girls try harder!

Blatant lie
If Maheep Sandhu thought that being single would get her more films, then she was wrong. Right now, we think that it will take more than that. Her film Shivam, announced months ago, has not taken off. The producer is making no comment on when he will revive the project. We would have sympathised but Maheep took the media for a ride. She had never really split with Sanjay — even when she was claiming that it was all over, the couple would attend parties arm in arm. Does she think that the fourth estate attends parties blindfolded?

Women’s woesUnlike Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, the other Salman-starrer, Jab Pyar Kisise Se Hota Hai, has got a luke warm response. So has Twinkle Khanna.

They say the fire is missing from her performance. Her supporters insist that the fault lies with the director who gave the young girl a role of a more mature woman. Her detractors however point out to past poor performances. Anyway, it seems that all the women in the film have reason to complain. Take Namrata Shirodkar. First her role was tiny, then her very appearance in the film was kept a top secret. I mean, a song and one-and-a-half scenes are not a befitting debut. To top that this former Miss India is looking terrible. Her hair is frizzy and over coloured. What’s up?

Boys without joy
IF you don’t know the Roy brothers — Ronit and Rohit — then this item is not for you. But if you do remember them then read on. Their relationships never seem to work out. Look at Ronit. He left his first wife to marry aspiring actress Rashmi. The couple used to have violent fights at parties, so apparently Rashmi has also left him. Rohit too, is having his share of problems with his girlfriend. They also fight in public. Really, the Roy boys should confine their fights to the bedroom.
