Apparently, Juhi Chawla has been finalised for this film even though bets were on that Manisha Koirala would bag the role. It seems that Sunny led Manisha to believe that she was landing this film. At the same time, he asked Juhi to finalise her clothes. Double games or what? No. It looks like this he-man likes to have several options in life. Dimple Kapadia and Raveena Tandon probably have a resounding yes in response.

Predictable is the word that describes starlets best. Remember, sometime ago we8217;d told you about Nagma going to town about the end of her affair with a married man. We predicted that she was sending signals to Bollywood that she wanted to come home. We were right. Nagma has had enough of Mollywood and she8217;s back single and very eager to sign films. Laloo Prasad and his wife, Rabri Devi, have become hot favourites with our phillumwallahs. You8217;ve obviously seen the promos of Dand-Nayak where Paresh Rawal looks like a Laloo clone. So much so, that the fake looks more real than the real itself. Only a couple of days ago, Laloo supporters reportedly gheraoed Time8217;s Pravin Shah and asked him not to release the film. They think it projects their netas in a bad light. Also, sources claim that the Bihar distributor of Dand-Nayak has backed out. Anyway, if this controversy was not bad enough, the latest news is bound to make babus blood boil. Apparently, Padmini Kapilla is going to play Rabri Devi in Ranaitik Shadyantra. The 8217;70s vamp-dancer is making an unlikely comeback as this is bound to be a pretty unglamorous role. But that apart, it is sure to create waves. Watch this space for more8230;

Subhash Ghai observers are confident he will not take the Mahima humiliation lying down. His next move is what everyone is waiting for: Will he lie low and strike later, or will he teach Ritu Chaudhary a lesson as soon as the Pardes girl returns from her stage shows abroad?

Anyway, Mahima has cast herself as a newsmaker, that8217;s for sure. Who will back her and who will desert her?8217; is what industry sources are asking. But if Ghai is smarting about the Pardes babe8217;s volte face, he has plenty of reason for cheer. His new venture Taal is already proving to be a dream project. Apparently, Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna and Aishwarya Rai have agreed to do his film for half their normal price. Obviously, they think this film will do for them what ordinary films cannot. Worth the wait

Watch out for Rishi Kapoor8217;s Aa Ab Laut Chalien. Those who have seen the rushes are nothing but praise for his directorial venture. They are also raving about Khanna jr. Akshaye is simply brilliant in this film. Even on the sets, he surprised visitors with his cool manner. The otherwise shy guy is seen humming and dancing to the film8217;s songs all the time, even when the camera is off.

Love8217;s lies

Whether a couple gets together or breaks up, tinseltown feeds on the gossip. Take the case of Suman Ranganathan and Rahul Roy. First, they posed for loving picture when they declared that they had found true love. The same pictures had a hollow ring when they were used to show that the lovebirds had split. But now, the pictures look positively ugly. Suman has moved in with Uru Patel, after she broke off with Farhan Akhtar. Finally, Roy has blasted her in a film magazine stopping short of saying that she was cheating on him right throughthe relationship.

The film press was predicting that it was only a matter of time before he chucked her out of his directorial debut a venture signing Suman as heroine when she was still dating Rahul. While the Roy boy and Sudhakar Bokade, the producer, are denying this, we have some inside khabar. Apparently, Sushmita Sen has been chosen to play Suman8217;s part but the film makers are reluctant to confirm this until she signs on the dotted line. Until they get another heroine to replace Suman, the lies will continue.
