Pritam Singh crowned Kamgar Shree ’98
Pritam Singh of Maharana Club was declared `Kamgar Shree, 98′ at the body-building contest of the Maharashtra Kamgar Kalyan Mandal, Sahakarnagar. A total of 43 participants took part in the meet held in various categories. Pritam has also been selected to participate at the state level body building contest to be held in Mumbai.
Results: Below 60 Kgs: Kundan Tambat, Balasaheb Surve, Baba Jagde. Below 65 Kgs: Rahul Jori, Nitin More, Yogesh Kandhare. Below 70 Kgs: Prashant Jagtap, Prasanna Avchat, Rahul Misal. Below 75 Kgs: Pritam Singh, Raju Joseph, Dattatray Tanpure. Below 80 Kgs: Atul Chavan, Umesh Mohite, Sham Khude. Above 80 Kgs: Vijayendra Mahale, Sanjay Konde, Vinod Supekar.
Vinodini for National yoga
Vinodini Deshmukh is among the nine sportspersons selected from Pune to contest in the 23rd National Yogasan competition to be held in Uttar Pradesh from December 24 to 27. In the recently concluded state level Yogasan meet at Amravati, these nine individuals from Pune excelled in their respective age groups and returned with several medals.
The rest of the Puneites include Komal Kothari, Tanmay Joshi (both 8 to 11 years), Rakhi Bayas, (11 to 14 years), Varsha Kadam (14 to 17 years), Leena Gadkar, Roopali Thorat (both 17 to 21 years), Sachin Parundekar (21 to 25 years), Vinodini Deshmukh, Maruti Padekar (both above 35 years).
Roller skating on Dec 13
Suyash Sports Foundation, Kothrud, will be holding a roller skating road race in memory of late Sharadrao Jadhav at Anandnagar, Paud road, Kothrud on December 13.
