Adarsh Seva Vidayalaya, Varanasi, entered the sub-junior final of the Subroto Mukherjee Cup defeating Mount Carmel School, Mizoram 4-1 in penalty shootout. Both sides were locked 1-1 at the end of the regulation time. Lalhmuchhuaka 35th gave Mizoram lead which was equalised by Varanasi8217;s Mohit Chaurasia in the dying minutes. In penalty shootout, Mohit, Ripender Kant Singh, Subhan Ali and Jitender Kumar found the target while for Mizoram Vanlalmawia was the only scorer.

St Francis De Sales School A8217; moved into final beating Modern School Barakhamba Road 2-1 in semi-final of the Fr Peter Mermier Memorial Invitational football tournament. Aditya scored for the Modern School while Nitiant Solanki equalised for St Francis School. In the extra-time, Rohit Sikka netted the winner. St John8217;s School Khera Khurd outwitted DPS RK Puram 1-0 during extra time to enter the final. Ashok Remy scored the winner.
