Dhurandhar crosses Rs 800 cr in India, Rs 1200 cr worldwide in opening month; here’s what’s next for Ranveer Singh’s juggernaut

Dhurandhar box office collection: Ranveer Singh's film crosses Rs 1200 crore worldwide.
Aditya Dhar’s period spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, continues its historic run at the box office, both domestically and worldwide. Ever since its release on December 5, 2025, the film has been an unstoppable force which has dismantled competition and forced films to push their release dates, as it continues to break box office records even in its fifth week.
Dhurandhar enters Rs 800 crore club in India
On Sunday, Dhurandhar production house, Jyoti Deshpande-led Jio Studios, posted on its official Instagram handle that Dhurandhar has now crossed the unprecedented Rs 800 crore mark at the domestic net box office. It was already the highest grossing Bollywood film in India after beating blockbusters like Chhaava, Stree 2, and Jawan.
Now, it’s become the first Bollywood film to enter the coveted Rs 800 crore club at the Indian box office. The only other Hindi film that’s achieved that feat is the dubbed Hindi version of Sukumar’s 2024 Telugu action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule. The Allu Arjun-starrer stands at Rs 812.14 crore, which is the next target for Dhurandhar.
As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar has crossed Rs 772.25 crore within its historic opening month at the domestic box office. But as per Jio Studios, the film has already crossed the Rs 800 crore mark and earned Rs 806.80 crore within its first month at the India box office. It’s now also the fifth highest grossing Indian film at the domestic box office, beating SS Rajamouli’s 2022 period fantasy epic RRR (Rs 782.20 crore).
Its next target on that list is Prashanth Neel’s 2022 Kannada action thriller KGF: Chapter 2, which stands at Rs 859.70 crore at the domestic box office. Dhurandhar has a long way to go before it can come even close to the top 2 spots, secured by Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1234.10 crore) and Rajamouli’s 2017 period fantasy epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1030.42 crore) respectively.
Dhurandhar has also become the only Indian film to score in double digits 30 out of 31 days in its opening month at the domestic box office. Its fifth weekend haul at Rs 35.80 crore is also the highest for any Hindi film so far, beating the likes of Chhaava (Rs 22 crore), Stree 2 (Rs 16 crore), and the Hindi dubbed version of Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 14 crore).
Dhurandhar enters Rs 1200 crore club worldwide
As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar amassed over Rs 280 crore within its opening month at the overseas box office. Add its domestic box office collection, and the worldwide box office collection of the film in its first month now stands at more than Rs 1200 crore. Thus, it’s become the fifth highest grossing Indian film at the global box office. Its next target now is KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1215 crore), followed by RRR (Rs 1230 crore).
There’s a long way to go before it comes even close to the top three spots, held firmly by Nitesh Tiwari’s 2016 family sports drama Dangal (Rs 2070.30 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1788.06 crore), and Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1742.10 crore) respectively. If the Rs 1200 crore from the China box office is excluded from Dangal’s overall haul, Dhurandhar is already the highest grossing Hindi film worldwide and the fourth highest grossing Indian film at the global box office.
