Super Star humbled Harkishan Club 5-0 in the Delhi State Hockey League for Clubs at Shivaji Stadium. Rajnish Singh Panwal (3), Parvish Singh and Sachin Kanojia scored for the winners who led 1-0 at the interval.

In an institutional league match, Delhi Customs beat DDA 5-2. Anil Chandi (3), Jaswinder Singh, Ajay Chetri scored for the winners while Nand Lal Dubey NUK Khalid reduced the margin for DDA. In another match, State Bank of India beat Delhi Audit 2-1. Amit Sharma of Audit scored first before Jaspal and Arun Singh scored for the winners.

Modipan bridge
Country’s top players will be seen in action in the Rs 3.10 lakh prize money Modipan Gold Cup Bridge tournament from August 6-9. The highest prize money bridge tournament will be held at Hotel Intercontinental. The winning team will receive Rs one lakh and the runners- up will get Rs 50,000 while the third and fourth placed teams will pocket Rs 25,000 each, fifth to eighth placers get Rs 7,500 and ninth to sixteenth postion teams will get Rs 5000. In the pairs section, winners prizemoney is Rs 15,000 and runners-up will receive Rs 10,000. Third placer will get Rs 5000, fourth Rs 3000 and fifth and sixth placers Rs 2,000 each.

The entry fee is Rs 5000 per team and Rs 1,000 per pair.

There will be six rounds of Swiss League on the opening day and four more rounds on the second day, besides the pairs elimination session. The quarter-finals and semi-finals are slated for August 8. The team and pairs finals will be played on August 9.

Schools volleyball
The Pepsi Salwan inter-school prize money volleyball tournament for girls will be held at Salwan Girls school, Rajinder Nagar from September 6-12. Reputed schools from all over the country will participate.The winner will get Rs 5000 while the runners-up will receive Rs 3000. Mamta qualify
Mamta Modern Senior Secondary School, Vikas Puri won the qualifying Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament for Delhi State, beating Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Curzon Road, 5-0. They have now qualified for the 17-year category in which 21 teams had participated for the qualifying tournament.

Sanjay Mehra scored two goals for the winners while Amit, Ninza and Surinder mann scored the other goals for Mamta Modern.

Mamta have qualified for the tournament for the third time.
