In the girls section, Anjana Jha faced no difficulty in defeating Kalpana Negi in the final round. Both Anjana and Kalpana have been selected to represent Delhi in the forthcoming Nationals at Bikaner.

Kaushal, Tandon win
Former champion Rakesh Kaushal and Anil Tandon entered the men8217;s singles semi-finals in the DDCA table tennis tournament at the Kotla pavilion. In the quarter finals, Kaushal beat Suresh Sharma 21-15, 21-16 while Tandon ended the success story of N K Lakhotia with a 21-10, 21-19 verdict.

In pre-quarter final matches, Sanjeev Rastogi beat Sandeep Chaudhary 21-18, 21-13 and Maninder Singh Jaggi put out the challenge of Subhash Dua 21-15, 17-21, 21-16.

Delhi Aquatic meets
The Open aquatic meet, conducted by the Directorate of Education Sports, Delhi Administration, will be held at the Punjabi Bagh Club swimming pool from August 8. The inter-school swimming meet will be conducted at the same venue from September 8.
