An all-round performance by Harish Kumar 65 not out and 3 for 30 and a breezy 62 by Sriram helped Alcatel Modi Network System XI win the Modi Cup beating Rest Alcatel Modi Network System by eight wickets at Harbaksh Stadium. Harish Kumar best all-rounder; Sriram best batsman and Jyothi best bowler were awarded special prizes for their performances.

Deyayarsh Dubey, Ansul Bhardwaj and Manav Sharma were the wicket-takers for the winners. Ankur Julka was adjudged man of the match.

Goswami tourney
The 26th Goswami Ganesh Dutt memorial cricket tournament will be organised from May 2 at Hindu College grounds. Twelve teams have been selected for this tournament which include Indian Airlines, DS Group, ONGC, Steel Authority of India, Bright Club, Chand Khanna, LB Shastri, South Delhi, Young Friends, Sonnet, Collage and Goswami Ganesh Dutt Club.

Tagore School win
Tagore International School, East of Kailash blanked out Dev Samaj School 9-0 in the H Sen memorial football tournament. In other matches, Gen Raj overwhelmed National Victor 6-0 while Tagore International School Vasant Vihar thrashed Kalka School 4-0. Nishant 3 and Danial 1 scored for Tagore International.
