England face daunting prospect
England8217;s cricketers face the daunting prospect of batting through the final day to get something out of the first Ashes Test after Glenn McGrath and Michael Slater put Australia in a commanding position. Australian captain Mark Taylor sent England in to bat just before the close when he declared australia8217;s second innings at 237 for three. Set a challenging 348 to win after trailing by 110 on the first innings, England were 26 without loss at stumps.
PSB-BSF final
Punjab and Sind Bank will take on Border Security Force in the final of the ONGC-Nehru Senior Hockey tournament at the National Stadium in Delhi tomorrow. In the semi-finals, BSF downed SAIL 3-1 while IHF Blues fought back well to streatch PSB, the eventual winner into tiebreak. PSB won 4-3.
