
Squash tourney for juniors at Vashi on June 26-27
The Navi Mumbai Squash Spectacular tournament organised by the Indian Squash Professionals ISP under the auspices of the Squash Racquets Association of Maharashtra SRAM will be held at the Navi Mumbai Sports Association Complex in Vashi on June 26-27. The tournament carrying a total prize money of Rs 20,000, will be held in three categories under-19, under-16 and handicap doubles over-35. All those players participating from Mumbai will be provided free lodging, boarding and travelling to Navi Mumbai, a press release issued by the ISP stated. Entries should be sent to ISP, No 2, Monarch Chambers, Marol-Maroshi Road, Andheri E, Mumbai-59 or faxed to 8525589 before June 22.
BCCI general body may meet
Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI general body meeting might be held after the office bearers, including BCCI president Raj Singh Dungarpur and honarary secretary Jaywant Lele, return from England after the World Cup. The BCCIexecutive secretary Sharad Diwadkar said after the office bearers return on June 26 or 27, they will decide whether such a meeting should be convened.
The chances of such a meeting being held are high after India8217;s dissapointing performance in the World Cup.
