JNAUARY 30: Golf tourney from today
The Third Oracle Chairman8217;s Golf Invitational Tournament will be held at the Willingdon Sports Club course on Saturday.
Over 40 chief executive officers CEO and senior management personnel representing various corporate houses will be taking part in the tournament to be played in individual stableford format with two handicap categories.
Western Railway8217;s run for fun
As part of celebrations of the 50th anniversary of India8217;s Independence, Western Railway will be conducting a Run for Fun on February 1. The Run for Fun will be led by the noted national and international sportspersons. The run will start from the lawns of old administrative office of WR8217;s headquarter office, Churchgate in front of Churchgate station at 1900 hrs. The run will end at the NCPA, Marine Drive. The winners will be given awards.
Mumbai University tennis teams
A four-member Mumbai University girls team 8212; Jahnavi Parekh Sydenham, Ritu Sethi HR Commerce,Priyanka Contractor, Rashmi Khanna Mithibai 8212; will be participating in the Inter-Varsity Tennis tournament to be held at Delhi from February 3. The boys team 8212; Devashish Behra, Sheel Desai Mithibai, Vijay Chabbaria Sydenham, Aneesh Manari St. Andrew8217;s 8212; will head for Sivakasi TN for the Inter-University tournament to be held from February 10.
Schools gymnastics from Feb 18
The Inter-Schools Gymnastics Championships will be held at the Bharatiya Krida Mandir, Naigaon Cross Road, Shakar Nagar, Wadala, Mumbai on February 18 and 19. Entries close on February 13. More details can be had from the MSSA office at Azad Maidan.
