The Mumbai Cricket Association announced the team for the under-16 West Zone Vijay Merchant Trophy match against Gujarat to be played here from December 2-4 and against Saurashtra at Rajkot from December 7-9.

Schools basketball tournaments

The MSSA-Colgate annual Inter-School basketball tournament for senior boys and senior girls (under-16) will be held from December 2 to 12 at the Schools Sports Centre, Azad Maidan. Participating schools are requested to collect the fixtures for the same.

The basketball tournaments for mini boys and girls under-13 willbe held from February 18-27.

Junior karate meet on Nov 28

The first-ever sub-junior and junior karate tournaments conducted by the Maharashtra Karate Association will be held at Bombay University Stadium on November 28-29.

Competition will be in two disciplines — individual kata (forms) and individual kumite (fighting).

Last date for entries extended

The last date for entries to the Dilip Sampat Memorial table tennis inter-schools tournament has been extended to December 1 till 4 p.m. Participating schools should collect their draws from the All-India Balkan Ji Bari office at Santacruz (W) from December 12 onwards.
