SURAT, June 15: Seven people have been reported missing in separate police stations of the city during the past twenty-four hours. The police have registered non cognisable offences and have begun investigations.

In the first case registered at the Katargam police station today, 18-year old Dipika Ashok Patel left her house on Monday morning without informing anyone. Ashok Patel, her father, told the police that the girl has a D8217; tattooed on her right forearm. She was residing with her parents at Gotalawadi Tenements in Katargam.

In a second case registered at the Pandesara police station, 14-year old Prakash Radhakrishna Panicker, a class VIII student, walked out of his house in Shivnagar Society in Bhestan on Sunday evening. His father told the police that he had scolded the boy for failing his annual examinations. The boy left the house in a fit of rage.

In a third case registered in the Katargam police station, Rahul Lalit Shah, 13, a resident of Ambawadi area of Amroli is missing since Monday morning. The boy8217;s parents said that he went out of the house at around 8:30 am and has not returned since. Sanjay Raman Solanki 19, a slum-dweller from near the New Civil Hospital is also missing since June 12. He is reported to have told his parents that he was going to search for a job but did not return.

Hasmukh Batuk Ajodia 17 residing at Vikramnagar Society is also missing since Sunday evening, a case registered in the Kapodara police station said. Two other persons, 35-year old Mohan Ravji Patel of Ichhapore and Jeevan Shibu Bhandari of Sagrampura are also missing since Monday afternoon, cases registered in the Ichhapore and Athwalines police stations on Tuesday stated.
