NAGPUR, APRIL 22: The Opposition leaders would call on Maharashtra Governor Dr P C Alaxander next week to draw his attention towards abrupt curtailment of the Budget session of the State Legislature, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council, Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said.
Addressing a press conference here, Gadkari criticised the Democratic Front DF government for the curtailment of the Session and accused it of strangulating democracy8217; in the State.
Describing the Vilasrao Deshmukh government as defunct8217;, the BJP leader alleged that the curtailment was an insult8217; to the democratic norms and observed that the simmering differences8217; between the ruling partners, the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party NCP, led to the abrupt end of session by a week.
