Sealdah to Banaras Amrit Bharat Express train launch: The Amrit Bharat Express is a new generation train designed for affordable, safe, and long-distance travel. The train offer a travel experience comparable to the Vande Bharat Express, but are specifically designed to provide affordable and high-quality service for passengers from lower and lower-middle income category.
The Sealdah-Banaras Amrit Bharat Express train will be maintained and operated by the Eastern Railway (ER) zone. This new train is slated to be launched this month and will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Sealdah-Banaras Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 22587, while the Banaras-Sealdah Amrit Bharat service will run as train number 22588. The Sealdah-Banaras-Sealdah Amrit Bharat Express will run via Dankuni.
During its journey between Sealdah and Banaras, train number 22587/22588 Sealdah-Banaras-Sealdah Amrit Bharat Express will halt at six stations. These are: Durgapur, Asansol, Madhupur, Jasidih, Patna and Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
The Sealdah-Banaras Amrit Bharat Express will run as a tri-weekly service. From Sealdah, train number 22587 will depart on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. From Banaras, the train number 22588 will depart on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. The train will be composed of 16 coaches.

Train number 22587 Sealdah-Banaras Amrit Bharat Express will leave Sealdah at 19:30 hrs and arrive in Banaras at 07:20 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, train number 22588 will leave Banaras at 22:10 hrs and reach Sealdah at 09:55 hrs, the next day.
