
NEW DELHI, April 14: The steering committee of the Service Doctor Associations today deferred their proposed nationwide strike from April 16 following the government8217;s announcement to pay non-practising allowance NPA and assurance to resolve other pending issues. quot;The indefinite strike has been deferred keeping in view the positive attitude of the government, implementation of NPA and assurance of the Prime Minister through his political advisor to resolve the pending issues at the earliest,quot; said Dr SN Mishra, convenor of the Service Doctor Associations, today.
He said that the steering committee of the associations, which met here yesterday, decided to defer the strike for the time being and will announce their further course of action after taking stock of the situation on May 26.
