
Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, celebrated Dussehra festival with enthusiasm.
The tiny-tots of class I and class III came dressed up as various characters of Ramayana. While the students of class III to V participated in Choaupayee Gyan competition, Class VI-IX students took part in dialogue recitation contest related to Ramayana.
A drawing competition was also arranged by the Pidilite Industries in which students from class I to X participated.. Santosh Mehra, the school principal, congratulated the staff members, teachers and students on the occasion of Dussehra.
BCM Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh Road, organised the picnic for the students of class 1 and UKG as part of Dussehra celebrations on Friday. The students were taken to PUDA park. They participated in games and activities based on their talents. The teachers of respective classes told the students about the importance of this festival. The winners of games and activities were honoured with prizes by D.P. Guleria, the school principal.
However for the senior students, the school organised Diwali craft competition in which about 200 students from Class VI to XII participated. In this, events like candle decoration, gift wrapping, covering pooja thali, making shagun envelopes, greeting cards etc were organised. D.P. Guleria, the school principal, appreciated the innovative ideas of the participants and congratulated the winners.
