Nairobi, October 13: Skipper Saurav Ganguly lauded the efforts of his team, especially youngsters Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan, in India8217;s victory over South Africa in the semi-final of ICC Knock-out cricket tournament here on Friday.

Ganguly, who was also adjudged the man-of-the-match for his undefeated knock of 141 off 142 balls, said: 8220;Everything was falling in place for us today. This was not the best pitch of the tournament but I knew one of the three top order batsmen had to bat right through the innings to post a big total.8221;8220;Yuvraj Singh is a very talented player. Once we crossed the 250-mark, it was my job to keep telling the youngster to keep his head down if we were to post a big total,8221; Ganguly said when asked about the performance of youngsters.

He said two youngsters, Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh, had lent stability to the team.

On the possibility of a India-New Zealand final prediction coming true, Ganguly said, 8220;That is why people say you never comment in this game8217;.8221;South African captain Shaun Pollock said, 8220;It is always going to be difficult to chase a huge total and things did not go right for us today.
