Sakshi Maharaj to join SP

LUCKNOW, OCT 11: The expelled BJP MP Sachchidanand Sakshi Maharaj, who had revolted against the party leadership after being denied a ticket for the Lok Sabha and campaigned for the Samajwadi Party, will join the SP tomorrow, party8217;s state president Ram Saran Das has said.

Sakshi, believed to be very close to Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, will join the party in the presence of party president Mulayam Singh Yadav at a function here, Das told reporters.

Sakshi, who had won from Farrukhabad as a BJP candidate in 1998, is an accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case.
