Sack Home Minister, demand Nepal MPs

Angry members of the Congress Parliamentary Party CPP have asked for resignation of Home Minister Krishna Prasad Situala blaming him of having conceded too much to the Maoists bypassing parliament and the seven party alliance.

The demand pushes into uncertainty the 8-point understanding the government and the Maoists signed on June 15, an initiative of Situala who is also convener of the 3-member government negotiating team. 8216;8216;Parliament cannot ignore the 8-point understanding which now forms the basis of the interim constitution,8217;8217; said Situala.
