CHANDIGARH, April 19: Om Parkash Chautala, president of the Haryana Lok Dal (Rashtriya), has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Haryana and urged the Haryana Governor to dismiss the Bansi Lal government for its alleged failure to protect the life and property of the citizens.
In a statement issued here today, he alleged that incidents of murder, dacoity, kidnapping, loot and rape had become routine affairs and people were feeling insecure. He charged that the higher ups of the government were busy running their new found trade of liquor or illegally selling government land without any concern for the safety and well being of the common man.
Alleging that the police have become a mute spectator to all these incidents, Chautala said that recently, people allegedly involved in liquor smuggling, had killed six persons in Jatwara village near Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh.
He charged that in Hisar division, five petrol pumps were looted within three days. Similarly several other incidents of murder, rape and loot were reported from various parts of the state.
He further said that the Chief Minister had lost the moral right to rule the state after the humiliating defeat of the ruling alliance in the recently held Lok Sabha elections.
