
PUNE, Feb 2: Pune Pravasi-Paryatak Manch has demanded that the Pune-Ahmedabad Ahimsa Express be made a daily train. In a memorandum addressed to the Minister of State for Railways Ram Naik, the association has said the waiting list for this train which runs three times in a week often reaches to 300.
The memorandum, submitted by Krishnakant Kudale, president of the association, has also threatened to launch an agitation if the frequency was not increased during the presentation of railway budget on February 25. The association has also demanded immediate inclusion of Daund and Ahmednagar areas into the newly created Pune railway division. Other demands included halting of Pragati Express at Kalyan.
