This is one of those post-Four Weddings and a Funeral wave of light feel good comedies outlining human dilemmas, and with the mandatory weddings. This one picks off from one wedding and ends at another.

Kate Jennifer Aniston from the hit TV series Friends is an advertising director who can8217;t get the big career leap she desperately wants because her boss feels she8217;s single, unattached and therefore likely to quit.

That8217;s until a sympathetic co-worker slips the boss a picture Aniston has gotten clicked with a wedding videographer Nick Jay Mohr at her friend8217;s wedding. Aniston gets the job and more. Colleague Sam Kevin Bacon whom Aniston has a crush on, goes only after unavailable girls. He now pursues her with a vengeance. Meanwhile, Aniston wants out of the alleged relationship with Mohr so she hires him to play her fiancee for one night and then stage a noisy break up before her colleagues. Mohr agrees, but naturally falls in love with Aniston who8217;s now caughtup in a Mohr or Bacon dilemma.

Good scenes here when Aniston gives the details of her life for Mohr to memorise and the tension at the dinner table.

Mohr, who8217;s played a rival sports agent to Tom Cruise8217;s Jerry Maguire, is good as the mild-mannered and lovestruck small town guy. Bacon and Aniston are passable. Pluses? No guns and punches here and the only special effect you8217;ll see is Aniston8217;s bruised eye.

A remake of Wim Wenders8217; 1987 German film Wings of Desire stars Nicholas Cage as Seth, an angel of death, has to choose between being an immortal spirit and becoming a plain mortal. On duty in Los Angeles he meets someone who has a job the exact opposite of his. Dr Maggie Rice Meg Ryan is a deeply committed heart surgeon deeply shaken after the death of a patient. Cage, otherwise invisible, makes an exception for Ryan when he morphs from invisible spirit to mysterious stranger. Ryan begins suspecting his clairvoyance. At the hospitalhe meets Mr Messenger Dennis Franz a human who was once a spirit. Franz tempts Cage with mortality. And the angel of death is in a dilemma.
