Republicans triumph

MUMBAI, Dec 27: Bombay Republicans routed Bombay Railway Police 5-0 in a Division IV league match of the Bombay Hockey Association BHA at the BHA Mahindra Stadium here today.

Glen D8217;Souza put Republicans in the lead midway through the first-half while Gurpreet Singh, Rohit Charles, Junet Jada and Renal Lewis joined in.

Somlands draw

Somlands fought back to draw 1-1 with SMRC in a Division I Rizvi League hockey match at St Andrew8217;s High School grounds.

Keith Fialho put SMRC ahead in the 11th minute before Roy Lewis drew level for Somlands.

Parle, Springfield up

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Marathi and Springfield High School entered the final of the B Kichadia-Khar Gymkhana under-16 cricket tournament today.Parle made the title round with a narrow six-run victory over Don Bosco Borivli while in another close encounter, Springfield edged past defending champions Vidya Mandir Dahisar by two wickets.
