Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s 148 off 123 balls with 15 fours and four sixes was the highest individual score for India against Pakistan in ODIs.

Sourav Ganguly (141 at Adelaide, 2000) and Sachin Tendulkar (141 at Rawalpindi, 2004) shared the previous record

Krishnamachari Srikkanth’s 123 at Kolkata on February 18, 1987 was the previous highest by an Indian batsman against Pakistan at home.

Dhoni’s 148 is the highest score by an Indian wicket-keeper.

Rahul Dravid who made 145 against Sri Lanka at Taunton on May 26, 1999 held the previous record.

India’s 356 for 9 in 50 overs was the highest ever total against Pakistan.

It was also India’s third highest total in ODIs after 376 for 2 in 50 overs against New Zealand at Hyderabad on November 8, 1999 and 373 for 6 in 50 overs against Sri Lanka at Taunton on May 26, 1999.

India’s previous highest total against Pakistan was 349 for 7 in 50 overs at Karachi on March 13, 2004 while their previous highest against Pakistan at home was 292 in 49.2 overs at Chennai on May 5, 1997.
