Raj Gill dead

NEW DELHI, Mar 12: Hari Raj Singh Sher Gill, Raj Gill, veteran journalist and author, passed away on Friday morning. Gill, who was born in Pakistan but migrated to India and settled in Delhi, was former editor of Evening News. His writings on wildlife, agriculture and Punjab politics were widely appreciated. His books include Golden Dawn, The Infidel and a treatise on religion and politics. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Dhrupad recital n Dhrupad vocalists, Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha will perform here on March 13. The recital by the leading exponents of Dhrupad style of music is called Nirala Kabir and is part of the annual fund raising event of the Spastics Society of Northern India. The Gundecha brothers received the Kumar Gandharwa Award on March 5.The recital will be held at FICCI auditorium and tickets are available at SSNI, Hauz Khas, Teksons, South Ex, Cottage Emporium, Janpath and Book Shop, Khan Market.
