Railways champs

Kochi, April 19: The stars did not favour Maharastra B8217; and dame luck smiled on Railways on the fourth day of the 29th Summer National Bridge Championships being conducted at the Raj Mahal Hotel here.

Railways, winners of the team title and the Ruia Gold Cup in the Winter Nationals held at Bangalore in December, carry home the Blue Riband8217; of the Summer Nationals for the fourth time but not before Maharashtra gave them a torrid time.

Maharashtra rallied brilliantly after trailing by 25 IMPs at the half way stage. However, Railways managed to sneak through with 6 IMPs.
