Stone hurled at local, one hurt

  • A 34-year-old man was injured when a stoned was hurled at a local near Lower Parel this afternoon. Railway police said Amin Bhatti, a resident of Shastrinagar, Santacruz west, was sitting near the window seat in the second-class compartment of a Virar-bound local, when the incident occurred as the train slowed down near Lower Parel station.

    • CR services disrupted

  • Services on the fast track of Central Railway were disrupted when an overhead wire between Bhandup and Mulund snapped at 6.10 pm. Railway police said the wire snapped on track number three.

    • 2 thieves held

  • Two persons were arrested by CST railway police for stealing 74 Titan watches valued at Rs 97,590. Police said the arrests were made following a tip-off received at 5.30 pm.
