
Inflation at 17-year low
NEW DELHI: The annual rate of inflation has dipped to a record 17-year low at 2.5 per cent. The annual rate of inflation, however, is bottoming out and can only go up. According to Amit Mitra, secretary general of FICCI, quot;This is the last phase of the lag-effect of the fall in wholesale price indices, and, as such, inflation will henceforth turn around and rise rather steeply.quot;
