Ultras hideout smashed
SRINAGAR: Pro-pakistan militants operating in border areas of Poonch in Jammu region suffered a severe jolt today when their main hideout was smashed by the security forces, an official spokesman said here. Police arrested a self-styled company commander of Hizbul mujahideen outfit from Rainawari area of the city today.
AIIMS strike
NEW DELHI: THE indefinite strike by the senior doctors at the premier All india Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS entered fourth day today paralysing the health services with no indication of any breakthrough. quot;There is no initiative from the government to resolve our problem,quot; Anoop Saraya, spokesman of the faculty association of AIIMS said.
Raids on Oswal
MUMBAI: The Income Tax department conducted country-wide raids on the Oswal group of companies on Thursday. While the operation was initiated by the Investigation Wing of IT Delhi, four premises in Mumbai were also raided. Several premises were also raided in Jalandhar,Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Bhopal besides Delhi itself. The raids were on till late in the night.
