
IA office damaged in Pak blast
ISLAMABAD: Eighteen people were injured on Tuesday in two bomb blasts, one near an Indian Airlines IA office, in the strife-ridden port city of Karachi. The first blast took place near the Sindh Assembly building and 50 meters away from the IA office at a vacant police check post. At least 15 people, mainly passers-by were injured in this explosion. The blast was so powerful that glass panes of the IA office as well as that of nearby offices and residential buildings were smashed. However, no IA staff were injured. The second blast took place about two hours later, just outside the Federal Investigation Agency FIA injuring three persons.
ULFA men killed
GUWAHATI: Two hardcore ULFA militants were killed on Tuesday in an encounter with the BSF in Assam8217;s Bongaigaon district, official sources here said.
