Several feared drowned in city
MUMBAI: Several people were feared drowned and thousands of others rendered homeless after seawater submerged a hutment colony near the powerloom town of Bhiwandi in Thane district of Maharashtra late on Tuesday night. Police said people were trapped in over a thousand hutments located on the banks of the creek in the Idgah area of Bhiwandi.
