Preacher assaulted
NEW DELHI: A Christian preacher was allegedly manhandled by some persons while he was conducting a discourse at Khyala village in West Delhi tonight, a top police official said. Ruling out the involvement of any communal outfit in the incident, DCP West District Udai Sahay said Father S John was manhandled when he was holding a religious congregation at the village. The preacher did not sustain injuries, Sahay said .

Cop pushed out
MUMBAI: A constable attached to the Anti-Extortion Squad of Thane police was pushed out of a local train by unidentified miscreants early Friday. According to the railway control,Raosaheb Sonaji Makakre 30 was pushed out of a CST-Ambarnath local at around 2 am while trying to prevent a group from creating trouble in the local. Makakre was admitted to a hospital in Dombivli.
