Srinath wins, Paes still not out of woods

VADODARA: Prahlad Srinath defeated seventh seed Mahesh Bhupathi in the first round of the IPCL Cup Challenger 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 here today.But Leander Paes was still not out of the woods, after surrendering the second set to Barry Cowan (Britain) when play was suspended for the day. Watched by his coach Carmichael, Paes won the first set 6-4, but a poor sixth game in the second set forced him to drop serve and Cowan held on to serve out 6-3.
