CHANDIGARH, January 13: Narendra Singh Chintu has raised some valid points through his beautiful paintings, some of which computer-simulated, and drawings. But the most apt one was whether there was any need to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our independence when in reality the country is torn apart by factionalism, casteism, poverty and barbarianism.

The city got to see some of this Udaipur-based artist8217;s works at an exhibition organised at the Museum of Fine Arts in the Panjab University campus.

For Chintu the struggles of everyday life have a great role to play in his strokes. Thus one gets some craftily managed portrayals with the help of technology. But surprisingly his computer-paintings come out quite appealingly as opposed to some of the soulless works produced earlier.

The exhibition will be on till the 17th of this month.
