PWD workers hold rally

CHANDIGARH, Nov 2: Road workers working with the Public Works Department PWD held a rally near Housing Board Chowk on Tuesday to protest against artist Vijay Paul Goyal, who allegedly filed a false theft complaint against a worker.

It is alleged by the UT Roads Workers Union PWD that Goyal filed a false complaint against Kala Sagar chowkidar Tangaveil quot;to harass and humiliatequot; him. According to the complaint filed at Sector 10 Police Station, Tangaveil stole a quot;hookah8221;.

The Union leaders have demanded quot;strong8221; action against Goyal. According to a statement by the Union: quot;8230;Goyal approached Police Station Sector 38230; and asked them to beat Tangveilquot; and throw him in jail.
