NEW DELHI, November 22: Punjab earned five points for their 62-run first innings lead while Delhi had to contend with three as their North Zone Vijay Merchant Trophy (U-16) league match ended in a tame draw at the Vishwakarma School grounds in Rohtak today, according to reports reaching here.

Resuming their second innings at 34 without loss, Delhi reached 198 for eight when the game was called off in the eighth mandatory over. Vice-captain Rajat Jaiswal top-scored with 51 while skipper Sanjay Kumar made 26. Amandeep Singh hit a breezy 25 off 13 deliveries, striking one six and four boundaries. In their next games, Delhi will meet Jammu and Kashmir at Jammu from November 29 while Haryana take on JK at Rohtak from November 24.

Brief Scores: Delhi: 142 and 198 for 8 (Rajat Jaiswal 51, Kunal Bhardwaj 30, Sanjay Kumar 26, Amandeep Singh 25, Deepak Jora 4 for 21, Gaurav Vashisht 2 for 39).Haryana: 204.

Jethi hits unbeaten 115
Karun Jethi’s unbeaten 115 (5×4, 2×6, 96b) helped Salwan Boys beat Cambridge Foundation by 155 runs to enter the final of Chacha Nehru memorial nter-school tournament. In the other semifinal, Hansraj Model School defeated Bal Bharati, Pitampura by six wickets.
