Blood needed

Train halt
The Railway ministry has decided to provide a halt to 2166 DN/2166 UP Kurla Varanasi-Kurla superfast express at Nashik Road from November 16 onwards. Kurla Varanasi Express will arrive at Nashik Road at 9.07 a.m. and depart at 9.10 a.m. and 2166 Up Varanasi-Kurla Express will arrive at Nashik Road at 5.53 p.m. and depart at 5.56 p.m.

Shroff elected
Rajendra Shroff has been elected president of Pune Saraf Association. Other office-bearers are Kishor Dantale, vice-president, Fattechand Ranka, secretary, Nitin Ashtekar, joint secretary, and Khubilal Solanki, treasurer.

Foundation day
Karve Institute of Social Service celebrated its 36th foundation day which coincided with the 36th death anniversary of Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, on Monday. R G Kakade, president of Servants of India Society and a founder member of the institute, was the chief guest at the function. Dr P C Shejwalkar, chairman of the institute, presided.

Novel diary
