Vaccination campaign
The Lions Club of Pune Megacity has launched its year-long Hepatitis B awareness and vaccination camp at Sanjeevan Hospital, Karve Road, on October 4. Over 900 people participated in the inaugural vaccination camp.
The vaccination camps will be held on the first and third Sundays of every month at the Sanjeevan Hospital from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
Camp at Pench tiger reserve
The World Wide Fund for Nature – India, Pune division, will arrange a nature orientation camp at Pench tiger reserve. Pench is a home to tigers, leopards, sambars, chitals, wild boars and gaurs (Indian bisons). Highlights of the camp include nature trails into the forest, bird-watching sessions, jeep rides, astronomy sessions and nature games. Proceeds from the camp will be used for conservation programmes in Pune.
The camp will be held from October 23 to 29. October 19 is the last date for registration. Details can be had from Anand Thote on telephone numbers 458104 and 455298.
Koushik in city

Mountaineering camp
