Blood donation camp
The Lions Club of Poona-Kirkee will organise a blood donation camp at Shastri Apartment hall, Moledina Road, Pune camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. MES8217; 125th anniversary
Maharashtra Education Society MES has planned year long programmes to commemorate the 125th year of its foundation beginning September 24. The celebrations will start with Satyanarayan Puja. The society has invited parents, former students, well wishers and personnel from educational fields to visit the MES Boys High School Perugate Bhave School, between 5 to 8 p.m. on September 24.

The society has planned programmes for parents, teachers and students during the year long celebrations. These include inter-school competitions, seminars, discussions and cultural programmes. The society has also chalked out a plan for the school which includes modernisation of the library, gymnasium, laboratory and installing a statue of revolutionary Vasudev Balwant Phadke, one of the founders of the society, in the school premises.

Bank clients8217; meeting
The Institute of Rural Development and Education and Pune Consumers Guidance Society organised a workshop on banks and consumers on Thursday. State Bank of India deputy general manager N K Sabnis inaugurated the meet. The speakers included Pune University pro vice-chancellor Dr N G Sonawane and Consumer Guidance Society president Dr V V Ghanker.

Homage to Ram Joshi
A meeting has been organised by Maharashtra Balkrishnan Parishad, Nutan Balshikhshan Sangh, Indian Association for Pre-School Education and Palak Shikshak Sangh to condole the death of Prof. Ram Joshi, veteran educationist and former vice-chancellor of Bombay University. The meeting will be held at Mahatma Phule hall, Kumathekar Road, at 5.30 p.m. on September 23.

Health camp
Lions Club of Poona Deccan Gymkhana will organise a medical check-up camp for women at concessional rates at Narayanrao Sanas Vidyalaya in Wadgaon Budruk from 8.30 a.m. to 12 noon on Sunday.
